How AI-Ready Are Turkey's Top 41 Brands? (2026 Data Report)
Using our own live scanning engine — the same one visitors use for free every day — we audited the homepages of 41 well-known Turkish brands across e-commerce, news, banking, telecom, logistics and corporate holdings. 14 could not be measured because their bot protection rejected the automated request outright (excluded from the stats below — only the 27 sites we could reliably measure are reported).
Key Findings
- Average AI-readiness score: 62.2/100 across 27 major Turkish brands — well below the "good" threshold (75+).
- 56% fall below the basic readiness bar — 15/27 sites don't even reach the 65-point "Bronze" tier.
- 22% fully block ChatGPT (GPTBot) via robots.txt — meaning ChatGPT cannot use these brands' own current content when answering questions about them.
- 22% block Claude (ClaudeBot), 19% block Perplexity.
- 56% are missing basic WebSite/Organization schema, making it harder for AI engines to even recognize the brand as a distinct entity.
Methodology
Each site was tested homepage-only via AICompatible.com's free, public scanning API: robots.txt permissions for GPTBot/ClaudeBot/PerplexityBot/Google-Extended/Applebot-Extended, presence of core schema.org structured data (WebSite, Organization, Article, FAQPage, etc.), and content accessibility. 14 sites that outright rejected the automated request (connection reset / WAF challenge) were excluded from the stats — marked "unmeasurable," not "blocked," since we didn't separately verify whether that general bot defense also targets AI crawlers specifically.

What This Means
Google Search is gradually being supplemented by answer engines like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. If a brand closes its doors to these engines via robots.txt, or doesn't expose basic structured data, it becomes invisible in this new search layer - while competitors who are configured correctly remain visible. This data shows that even Turkey's largest brands are largely unprepared for that shift.
