Methodology v1.0

How closely do we follow Google's own guide?

We're not the ones saying it - Google is. We read their official Aug 2026 guide and checked every recommendation against what we actually do. This isn't a Google endorsement - the source is linked below so you can verify it yourself.

Note: This page does not mean Google "approved" us - Google doesn't issue individual endorsements. This is a fully verifiable self-audit of our own guides and scoring logic against Google's publicly published guide. Check every row against the source yourself.
What Google Says (official Aug 2026 guide) What AICompatible Actually Does
“LLMS.txt files and other 'special' markup... you don't need to create machine-readable files, AI text files, or Markdown to appear in Google Search.” Our scanner and guides no longer imply llms.txt affects Google specifically. We updated our llms.txt guide (Aug 2026) to state plainly: it helps Claude and emerging AI agents, not Google Search.
“Structured data is not required for generative AI search... there's no special schema.org markup you need to add.” Structured data is one weighted factor in our score (for general SEO/rich-result value and multi-engine parsing) - we don't claim it's mandatory for Google's AI features specifically.
“You don't need to 'chunk' your content into small pieces for AI to understand it.” Our semantic-structure checks reward clear headings and scannable structure for human readability - not artificial chunking as an AI-only trick.
“Reduce duplicate content... crawlers can waste crawl budget on URLs you don't care about.” We ran a full indexing-hygiene pass (Aug 2026): rebuilt a lean sitemap, added canonical + noindex to thin report pages, removed a leaked stale sitemap backup that was feeding Google 1,100+ dead URLs.
“If you use JavaScript, follow JavaScript SEO best practices... AI bots often don't render JS.” We found and fixed this on our own site: our blog was client-side rendered and invisible to GPTBot/ClaudeBot for 3 months. We converted it to static HTML and published the fix as a public case study.
“Verify your site in Search Console to catch technical issues quickly.” Verified and actively monitored - we resubmit our sitemap and inspect URL indexing status after every content change.
“Use the Search Console generative AI performance report to measure how you show up in AI features.” We check this report as part of our own SEO routine and recommend every scanned site do the same instead of guessing.
“Don't try to manufacture fake 'mentions' across the web.” Our AI-Ready badge program counts only real, automatically-verified embeds (via live referrer tracking) - never invented adoption numbers.
“Explore agent-based experiences - how browser agents and new protocols interact with your site.” We publish dedicated checkers for GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, and Applebot-Extended so you can see exactly which agents can reach your content.
